A guy who goes by the nickname Milky recently booked an Airbnb expecting to have a relaxing weekend getaway, and instead spent the weekend catering to a Pitbull's spiritual energy.
The whole thing started as soon as he walked into the Airbnb and saw the dog sitting on the couch staring back at him. There was no mention of a dog living in the home when he booked the stay, so his first course of action was to make sure that he was in fact in the right house and that this wasn't just a random dog that had been abandoned in the Airbnb.
Like any sane person, he reached out to the host to find out. And the reply he got was anything but sane:
Wait, did the Airbnb host just take someone's money and then make them dog sit for them? And not just a normal level of dog-sitting, but dog-sitting a pitbull whose chakras needed to stay aligned! Dog-sitters charge extra for that sort of thing!
I would have turned around and walked out before you could say, "Bow-wow."
Despite his initial hesitation, the disgruntled Airbnb guest did end up going along with it, telling PEOPLE,
I did end up giving her filtered water and her spiritually aligned diet. I didn't want to disturb her flow or diet. Though at times it felt like I was an unpaid dog sitter.
He probably also felt like he was being held hostage by a dog who could assess his past lives. I wouldn't want to mess with that dog's flow either.
Although Xanthe appears to be a pretty high maintenance, non-binary dog, the Airbnb guests said that he/she was also pretty nice to have around.
Milky went on to say that,
Apart from having to look after the dog's chakras, it ended up being a pleasant surprise. She was very loving, licked a lot. So it was overbearing at times, but we embraced her. She even came and looked at some wedding venues with us.
All's well that end's well I guess, and while Airbnb did give Milky a credit for his trouble, he said he thinks he'll just stick to a hotel next time around.
I can't say that I blame him!
