I went to Hobby Lobby to buy a small accent table when a minivan pulled into the spot next to me. A young family stepped out, and as the father tended to their newborn, I noticed a firearm strapped to his waist. I froze with fear β especially in light of the recent shooting in Rhode Island. It made me wonder how we're supposed to tell who is a threat and who is simply going about their lives.

Pretty good rule of thumb: If the guy's got his family with him and has a gun responsibly strapped to his hip, good chances are he's not a mass shooter or a gangbanger!
