Conan has been saying this for quite some time now, and it's the obvious position on the issue. If your comedy is angry, it's no longer comedy -- it's a rant.
Be funny. Make a point.
If the guy is so bad, it should be extremely easy to poke holes in his presidency with comedy.
Fortunately for television, it looks like lefty comedians have started to follow Conan's advice here and are no longer writing anger into every single line of their work. They could still use a few edits, but it's better than it was during term one.
