So this is interesting...

Well, there is an explanation. This man is paying tribute to Patrice Lumumba, the first prime minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Lumumba played a key role in securing Congo's independence from Belgium and was assassinated in 1961 by Belgian mercenaries.

And this dude literally brings a platform about three feet high and stands on it like a statue of Lumumba the entire game.

Michel Kuka Mboladinga has become a celebrity at the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco, and he's posed for three games now since December 23. He's been spotted at earlier soccer matches in 2025 doing the same thing, but it's not clear how long he's been at it.

Yeah, uhh...
