Congresswoman Kay Granger has not shown up to vote since July. Turns out she's been living in a memory care facility back in Texas.

This lady is the longest tenured member of Congress from the Republican Party, yet she hasn't attended a vote since July. And, apparently, for good reason.

Yes, a Republican Congresswoman has not shown up to work in DC for 6 months because she was checked into a memory care facility back home.

WHILE SHE WAS STILL IN OFFICE!

Granger announced in 2023 that this would be her last term in office, but she and her staff didn't think it was really important to let us know that she wouldn't even participate in the last quarter of her term because she has flipping dementia or whatever!

Granger has made occasional public appearances in the last few months, ceremonial stuff, but she has not actually done her job and voted in D.C. since July.

And we wouldn't have ever known if the Dallas Express paper didn't do a little digging.

According to Ms. Granger's roll call vote page, Grangers last vote was on July 24th, 2024 as she voted No to the "Amendment in the House H.Amdt. 1157 (Miller) to H.R. 8998: To reduce the salary of Ya-Wei (Jake) Li, Deputy Assistant Administrator for Pesticide Programs, to $1."

Since then, Granger has not cast any votes in Washington on behalf of her Tarrant and Parker County constituents.

The Dallas Express attempted to reach her district and D.C. offices but calls went directly to voicemail where a recorded message from Congresswoman Granger plays.

They called her office and left a voicemail, but upon paying a visit to her local office discovered it was locked, windows covered, and completely shut down. Other people in the same building said her staff came in and shut things down before Thanksgiving.

Everyone involved just disappeared.

We then received a tip from a Granger constituent who shared that the Congresswoman has been residing at a local memory care and assisted living home for some time after having been found wandering lost and confused in her former Cultural District/West 7th neighborhood.

Not all who wander are lost. But if they are an octogenarian member of Congress there's a good chance that they are lost.

How many of her last several terms has she been functionally out of it and unable to do her job? How long has her staff been covering this up?

It's absolutely pathetic.
