The Windsor police department started their day with a frantic 911 call. Someone had stolen a vehicle from St. Gabriel School with a 17-month old child still in the backseat.
Less than a minute after that call, police said they received another call from the Windsor Federal Savings Bank reporting a robbery.
"Almost simultaneously," they received another call about a vehicle that struck a tree not far from the bank.
As police responded to all three calls, it became apparent that it was all the same guy.
And he was dead.
The heroic tree took down the bad guy.
At this point, you're wondering what happened to the toddler after all that.
Windsor police Lt. Nicholas Dally said, "The child that was in the backseat of the vehicle was awake and responsive at the scene."
His mother took the child to the hospital to get checked out as a precautionary measure.
That kid won't remember any of this in 10 years, but what a ride that must have been!
