Convenience store owner runs off would-be robber with a knife by pulling out an even bigger knife

When a robber came to 70-year old Naif Qatamin's convenience store in Tacoma, Washington, wielding a knife, Qatamin just laughed.

Qatamin said,

I don't think so, buddy!

And, in a classic Crocodile Dundee move, pulled his machete out from behind the counter.

The dude's name is literally Naif (pronounced like "knife" but with an Australian accent), what did the kid think was going to happen?

Anyway, Qatamin's wife ran between the would-be robber and her husband to save the thief (which seems like a stupid move all things considered).

Qatamin laughed again.

"I just want to scare him," Qatamin said. "I don't want to hurt him."

He had never even used the machete before.

"It's been here for years," he said. "First time I ever touched it. I had to. I had no choice."

Luckily, the robber decided to bolt rather than kill the old woman.

Police later picked up the robber and released him shortly thereafter. It is Washington we‘re talking about after all.

However, the robber apparently then returned to Qatamin's store and tried to rob him again, this time threatening to kill him.

Qatamin once again apprehended the thief, and his son's friends held the two-time failed robber until the police arrived without any interference from his wife.

The robber was booked on suspicion of robbery and felony harassment.

The interview with Qatamin on the local news is just great. You can watch it below:

Nobody will die before his day, you know? Nobody will die before his day. If it's today it will come, no matter what. But if it's not today, you'll live hahahaha!

I love this guy!
