Okay, this dude is hilarious.

Earlier this week, the government warned about a Russian weapon that could launch nukes from space.

This reporter immediately recognized this from a movie plot and so he decided to inquire about the seriousness of the threat.

Jeff Schogol: Thank you, I know this may be question for Soviet Premeire Putin, but the God-awful thing that the Russians want to put into space, is it like Goldeneye, the thing from the 1995 Bond movie? And is it time for all of us on the ground to join Jed and The Wolverines?

Real journalist, for some real website called "Task and Purpose" that I hadn't heard of until today, asking the Pentagon about Goldeneye and Red Dawn. In an official Pentagon press briefing.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

I'm kidding! I am totally laughing! This is great!

And the Pentagon official's response was awesome.

I guess we'll just have to live and let die.

Now we've just gotta figure out if there's a way we can get Not the Bee this kind of press credential.

Apparently, Schogol is a somewhat well-known troll in DC and this isn't the first time he's done something like this.

There's a compilation:

This guy, he's my new hero.

Does the White House have any indication that maybe a submarine is trying to defect?
