Costco board votes unanimously to ask shareholders to keep DEI policies

Costco's board of directors has voted unanimously to ask shareholders to reject a proposal from conservative think tank, the National Center for Public Policy Research, which aims to rid the company of its DEI policies.

We told you last month that they'd be voting on this, and now we'll wait for the shareholder vote.

The National Center for Public Policy Research proposal argues that the companies DEI initiatives hold "litigation, reputational and financial risks to the company, and therefore financial risks to shareholders."

The initiatives also discriminate against white and Asian straight men, according to the think tank.

But the board voted unanimously to ask shareholders to keep the nonsensical DEI programs. Here they were last month, arguing in favor of the DEI programs.

[T]he National Center for Public Policy Research alleged that at least 200,000 of the company's 300,000 employees worldwide 'are potentially victims of this type of illegal discrimination because they are white, Asian, male or straight.' If only a fraction of those employees were to sue Costco, the legal costs could be significant, the center said.

We've got a new sheriff in town, America, and I think it's time for the employees over at Costco to sue for discrimination.

Also, I'd love to say I'm boycotting Costco, but, uhh, I really like cheap groceries. Cheers to this hypothetical future lawsuit.
