WHAT A TWO MONTH PERIOD FOR DANNY PENNY.
First, the subway hero was acquitted of manslaughter in a sham case brought by activist NYC officials who wanted to sacrifice Penny for the sake of their woke, racist cult.
Then, he got invited to the Army-Navy game by incoming US Vice President JD Vance.
He even got to ride the subway in peace again.
Now, he just landed a role at top Silicon Valley investment firm Andreessen Horowitz.
As reported by The Free Press, an internal memo sent to the firm's employees by general partner David Ulevitch announced that Penny was coming on board.
'He will learn the business of investing and he will work to support our portfolio companies,' wrote Ulevitch in a note sent to all employees this afternoon.
Penny was acquitted in December 2024. Ulevitch did not ignore the incident in his announcement of Penny's hiring:
'I believe, as I know many of you do, that Daniel acted with courage in a tough situation,' he wrote. 'He was acquitted of all charges. Beyond that, it has always been our policy to evaluate the entire person and not judge them for the worst moment in their entire life.'
He added that he envisions Penny, a former Marine, helping to strengthen the firm's relationships with the Department of Defense and public safety sector.
There's no such thing as a "former" Marine, but that sounds awesome.
Penny is going from protecting the NYC subway system to protecting America. 😤
Penny will work in New York for the firm's American Dynamism practice, a branch of the company that 'invests in founders and companies that support the national interest.'
Sometimes good things do happen to good people.
Congrats, Daniel.
