Someone tried to assassinate a Democrat mayoral candidate and a Biden ad writer quickly blamed "right-wing rhetoric" before a BLM gun-control activist was arrested for the crime

On Monday, a would-be assassin went into the campaign offices of Louisville Democratic Mayoral candidate Craig Greenberg and attempted to shoot and kill him.

The bullet grazed Greenberg's shirt and sweater, but no one was harmed.

Here's what the candidate had to say:

When a Democrat politician in a red state was targeted for political assassination, the Left immediately assumed the obvious suspect was a gun-loving, Trump-voting redneck:

(Screenshot in case he deletes it!)

Yeah, that's lefty political commentator and "Biden 2020 Ad Writer" Cliff Shecter.

Case closed, right??? It was obviously an alt-right act of insurrection based in white supremacy!

Oooh, would you look at that.

Black Lives Matter and gun-control activist Quintez Brown was arrested for the attempted assassination!

According to the Louisville Courier-Journal:

A Louisville activist has been identified as a suspect in Monday's attempted shooting of mayoral candidate Craig Greenberg.

Quintez Brown, 21, was charged with attempted murder and four counts of wanton endangerment after Greenberg was shot at in his campaign headquarters Monday morning in Butchertown, LMPD spokeswoman Elizabeth Ruoff said late Monday.

Brown, a civil rights activist, is a former intern and editorial columnist for The Courier Journal.

A police report says a man later identified as Brown entered the building and fired a 9mm Glock handgun at Greenberg before fleeing the building.

Officers found a man matching the suspect's description less than a half-mile from the campaign headquarters about 10 minutes later, carrying a loaded 9mm magazine in his pants pocket, according to the arrest report.

He also had a drawstring bag with a handgun, handgun case and additional magazines, the report said.

Surveillance video from the building showed the suspect wearing clothes matching Brown's and carrying a matching bag, the report said.

Yeah, all the available evidence, as reported by his former employer, points to this BLM activist being the assassin.

But sure, "right-wing rhetoric" is to blame for this attack.

Here's a sample of some of the "right-wing rhetoric" Mr. Brown was into:

In his Twitter profile, he said: "We have one scientific and correct solution, Pan-Africanism: the total liberation and unification of Africa under scientific socialism."

In a separate Jan. 10 post, Brown wrote what he called a "Revolutionary Love Letter" saying, "I am writing this to remind you how great you are. During our short stay on this glorious planet we all have been collectively dehumanized and reduced to political talking points โ€” Black, white, liberal, conservative, Christian, criminal, boss, worker, activist, etc."

"We have been educated to use our minds narrowly and forced to identify ourselves with roles that trap us in a collective perpetual state of anxiety," he said. "We have forgotten how harmonious this thing called life is and have fallen victim to a vicious circle of pain and suffering. Many of our friends are suffering from a deep feeling of alienation."

And look at this gun-control article he wrote in 2019:

The Biden ad man is being, rightfully, criticized for his hasty conclusion:

I'm sure that the Democrats will stop blaming the rhetoric, now that it's been revealed that the alleged shooter is a radical race Marxist believer in "scientific socialism."

Now, it's the gun's fault. Or mental health. Or something else. It couldn't be the insane radical politics that led Mr. Brown to join BLM, an organization that supports this nonsense.

It's not hard to believe that an anti-cop, radical group that burned down stores and cities for months might also have a member who would take things just one step further.

Oh, by the way, here's MSNBC's number one clown, Joy Reid, interviewing the alleged assassin as an anti-gun "March for our Lives" protester.

I guess his opinion on guns has changed slightly since those days!
