Well, murder may not be legal in the state of Virginia, but political violence is certainly on the menu.
Jay Jones, the man who fantasized about Republicans' deaths, their children dying in their mother's arms, and then urinating on the graves of his opponents, has been elected as attorney general of Virginia.

From CNN:
Democrat Jay Jones won the race to become Virginia's next attorney general, overcoming the disclosure of text messages in which he suggested a former legislative colleague should be shot ...
His victory suggests enough voters were willing to tolerate the texts - or were unaware of the story - in elevating a candidate they believe will fight on behalf of their interests.
Democrat Abigail Spanberger will likewise become the next governor of Virginia, despite refusing to distance herself from Jones.
In a flurry of exit polls and other data, Fox News reported that only 46% of Virginia voters cared that Jones had wished violent death upon a Republican family.
