This time, there's not something rotten going on in Denmark.
Government officials in Denmark have come to the decision that the Covid-19 jab, also known as the Fauci ouchie, should not be given to anyone under the age of 18.

Denmark will no longer be offering Covid-19 vaccinations to minors under the age of eighteen. According to the Danish Health Authority website, Denmark "phased out" the vaccination program against Covid-19 in mid-May.
"Children and adolescents only very rarely have a serious course of illness due to covid-19 with the omicron variant," reads the Danish Health Authority website, "which is why the offer of primary vaccination for children between 5 and 17 years will not be a general offer, but can be given after a specific medical assessment."
Well, would you look at that?
In the United States, this is pretty much never seen, but it's a government using a little bit of common sense.
AND using common sense when it comes to Covid! An EXTREMELY rare occurence.
Danish officials realize that Covid isn't dangerous for kids, so there's really no reason to give it to anyone under 18.
Meanwhile here in the US, we're still panicking over Covid and having Sesame Street muppets encourage three-year-olds to get the jab for pretty much no reason.
English translations from the Danish Health Authority website, say that beginning July 1, "it will no longer be possible for children and young people under the age of 18 to get the jab," and beginning September 1, "it will no longer be possible to get the 2nd jab." Individuals with an "increased risk" may still have the option to get vaccinated after an assessment from a doctor.
The Danish Health Authority explained the basis for their decision is because "the current wave of Covid-19 has flattened" and there is "high expected immunity in the Danish population due to a high vaccine coverage" along with "the fact that many Danes have been infected with covid-19 within the last months following the onset of the omicron variant."
"Furthermore, we know from experience that the infection rate falls with the change of seasons," they add.
The unknown risks of getting the jab are more than the risk of Covid for kids under 18. That's just reality.
It's refreshing to see some people are still using their brains. If only we had people in our country willing to adopt a similar policy.
