DeSantis tells Florida officials to investigate Anheuser-Busch for "fiduciary violations" over Dylan Mulvaney debacle

Ronny D is not your daddy's Republican.

Where most "chamber of commerce" style Republicans and business-minded candidates like Trump would just let Bud Light embrace the trans-tyranny without pushback, DeSantis is searching for a way to use his position to stand against Bud.

And DeSantis is doing this by ordering officials in Florida to investigate Anheuser-Busch for fiduciary violations by valuing wokeness and ESG friendliness over profits.

Florida is going to pull all of its state's government stocks out of Bud because the company went woke and cost the state retirement fund money.

DeSantis doesn't think the state should hold stock in companies that value their social credit and ideology over profit.

You may say this is "anti-business" and "anti-capitalist" of DeSantis, but he's the one actually concerned about making good investments and getting money for his constituents. Anheuser is the one that doesn't care about capitalism. They care about pleasing Davos, social engineers, and HR departments.

DeSantis explained Florida's position on Jesse Watter's show:

We talk a lot about woke corporations, and a lot of times we focus on, understandably, how their trying to change society, get involved with politics, and we fight back against that- we did that against Disney and others, and that's important.

But the flip side of it is, just as you suggest. When you start pursuing a political agenda at the expense of your shareholders, that's not just impacting very wealthy people, it impacts hardworking people who were police officers, firefighters, and teachers in terms of the pension...

So we're going to be launching an inquiry about Bud Light and InBev, and it could be something that leads to a derivative lawsuil filed on behalf of the shareholders of the Florida pension fund. Because, at the end of the day, there have gotta be penalties for when you put business aside to focus on your social agenda, at the expense of hardworking people.

On behalf of hardworking people everywhere: Go get 'em, gov!
