Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele were found stabbed to death in their Brentwood home Sunday afternoon around 3:30 p.m.

Their 32-year-old son, Nick, was found alive at the scene and has been taken into custody. The case has been labeled an "apparent homicide" and Nick is a "person of interest."

(Update: Nick is now being held on a $4-million bail.)

Reiner was 78, his wife 68.

TMZ said the two had their throats slit by a "family member." People went as far as to explicitly say that the son killed them.

Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were killed by their son, Nick, according to multiple sources who have spoken with family members. Police have not yet confirmed the account.

California Gov. Newsom shared a tribute:

Reiner directed many hit movies, but the internet was quick to gather up the best.

Reiner got his start playing Meathead in "All in the Family."

Reiner was an avowed atheist and anti-MAGA figurehead, so we've made fun of him here at Not the Bee. The difference between us and the Left is that we don't celebrate murder, nor make light of it.

Rob and Michele met on the set of When Harry Met Sally and married in 1989. They have three children.

As one small dose of humor in a tragic story, I'll remind you that Michele was a professional photographer, and her most memorable photo is here 👇
