Employees at the Paddlefish restaurant in Disney Springs were counting the day's take when a scuba diver appeared out of nowhere.
WFTV reports he swam in under Lake Buena Vista, boarded the restaurant, spray painted the cameras, tied up the employees, stole tens of thousands of dollars, jumped back in the lake, and swam away.
The man stole between $10,000 and $20,000, per the pending charge. The employees said he left within two minutes, and they called 911 after freeing themselves.
Neither of the employees were hurt and the man did not brandish any weapons.
Apparently, the shores of Disney Springs is crawling with undercover police with pretty tight security, so coming in via the water was probably the guy's best chance of successfully robbing one of the restaurants.
I just want to know how he circumvented Florida's best security measure.
