Yo Kathleen Kennedy: Stare directly at this.

That's right. A 20-year-old Star Wars movie made over $20 million at over 2,700 theaters.

Adding in $17 million taken internationally, Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith's re-release brought in a huge $42.2 million at the global box office, clearly demonstrating the demand for Star Wars movie re-releases.

That last part is wrong.

It isn't a demand for re-releases. It's a demand for good movies.

I know some of you nerds are gonna tell me the prequels aren't good, but the fact that I still hear boys at my kids' school yelling "I have the high ground!" on the playground proves you wrong.

Not to mention how the movies are a pillar of meme culture.

Cheesy lines or not, George Lucas knew how to make a movie about space wizards that made you think about heroism, politics, temptation, spiritual warfare, and the nature of man. These things are desperately needed in our culture right now and are desperately lacking.

Particularly for young men (the core audience of the space-wizard saga), who need to be taught about courage, honor, and the allure of power.

From Coming Soon:

The film drew a 74% turnout from the 18-34 age demographic, with the highest concentration in the Midwest, Mountain, and West regions of the U.S.

Translation: Young men in "flyover country" flocked to the theaters.

But that's the audience that Disney is trying hardest to ignore.

It's not "Star Wars fatigue," ya dummies.

It's woke fatigue.

Too bad Disney doesn't know how to make good films anymore. Easy money!
