Disney World gets rid of drunken bear "Liver Lips McGrowl" because it's racist and might offend alcoholics

In an attempt to be less racist, Disney once again proves how racist they really are, as they cancel Liver Lips McGrowl in Disney World's Country Bear Jamboree.

Why did old Liver Lips get the axe?

The term 'liver lips' describes large, swollen lips and is linked with excessive alcohol consumption and liver damage. It has also historically been associated with racist stereotypes of African Americans.

The name Liver Lips is now considered 'insensitive and outdated' and the character's reboot reflects Disney's commitment to creating a more 'inclusive and respectful environment for its guests'.

I mean the bear does have dark fur and all, so you know that's probably what that old racist Walt Disney was thinking of when he personally created Liver Lips during the park's founding.

So, what was modern, inclusive Disney's solution?

They turned him into Romeo McGrowl, the whitest, white boy bear you'll ever meet, sporting a flamboyant jumpsuit, and they kept the offensive liver lips.

I'm so confused.

But at least they also got rid of all that outdated racist country music at the "Country Bear Jamboree" and updated it with the following playlist:

  • "Country Bear Musical Jamboree" - a new original song written for the attraction

  • "Try Everything" - Zootopia

  • "Kiss the Girl" - The Little Mermaid

  • "A Whole New World" - Aladdin

  • "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" - Mary Poppins

  • "Fixer-Upper" - Frozen

  • "Remember Me" - Coco

  • "You've Got A Friend In Me" - Toy Story

  • "Bare Necessities" - The Jungle Book

  • "Come Again" - an original song that debuted with Country Bear Jamboree in 1974

Yeah, I think I'd rather ride It's a Small World After All over and over and over, than listen to a bunch of flamboyant bears sing the songs that are literally playing everywhere else in the park.

And then I'll do my best impression of a frustrated Donald Duck until someone makes it all stop.

Here was Liver Lips McGrowl's final performance, and you can hear how much the crowd loves him.
