Ladies and gents, here is Trump's official stance on abortion:
My view is now that we have abortion where everybody wanted it from a legal standpoint, the states will determine by vote or legislation, or perhaps both, and whatever they decide must be the law of the land — in this case, the law of the state.
Many states will be different. Many will have a different number of weeks; or some will [be] more conservative than others … At the end of the day this is all about the will of the people.
There it is, folks; Trump's position on abortion: States' rights.
He got the ball rolling on overturning Roe, and now we're at a point where we can allow the states to decide how they legislate abortion. Not the greatest position if you ask me, but not the worst either.
Trump also made a post on Sunday where he argued the importance of fighting for life while also not alienating swing voters who support limits on abortion but not a total ban, saying the pro-life movement won't be successful at all if it can't win elections (a major sticking point between some pro-lifers and abortion abolitionists).
