Watch: A wild shooting happened live on-air at George Floyd Square on the anniversary of his death, sending people scrambling for cover

A crowd gathered in Minneapolis on Tuesday to remember the death of George Floyd one year ago on May 25th.

As several members of the press were reporting at the square named after Floyd, a series of gunshots sent them and the rest of the small crowd scrambling for cover just hours before Floyd's family was to meet with Joe Biden at the White House.

Multiple storefronts were damaged and one person was injured.

As stupid as this is, it highlights the absurdity of our national conversation right now around this national martyr named George Floyd.

At the end of the day, no matter how the media try to spin George Floyd into a hero, the fact remains that crime has spiked in Minneapolis and cities around the nation as a result of how people have used his legacy.

Even at ground zero of America's supposed reckoning with "systemic racism" – ground made holy by the Left – there is a drive-by shooting on this holy day.

Criminals couldn't care less whom you memorialize.
