Listen up alkies!

Alcohol is a social lubricant that brings people together. In the best-case scenario, I don't think you should drink alcohol, but it does allow people an excuse to bond and socialize and there's probably nothing healthier than having a good time with friends in a safe way ...

There is alcohol on these dietary guidelines, but the implication is, 'don't have it for breakfast.'

Well, Dr. Oz, it's five o'clock somewhere...

If the Blue-Zone centenarians do it, I'll be fine.

The Trump administration announced new dietary guidelines yesterday, one of them being on alcohol. Here's what that looked like from ABC News:

The new Dietary Guidelines for Americans instruct Americans to 'limit alcoholic beverages,' a change from previous guidance that suggested U.S. adults ages 21 and over limit consumption to two drinks or fewer per day for men and one drink or less per day for women.

The new guidelines also do not make a distinction between alcohol guidance for men and women, though scientific research has shown the sexes metabolize alcohol differently.

Essentially, stop drinking so much, you filthy animal. But also, don't make it a big thing that you're going to try to follow some strict rule about it. Just cut back, have a few when you're celebrating with friends, and be smart.

Also, you should probably just not drink alcohol at all, but we're all human and we know that's not a goal that can be met by everyone.

Anyhow, this beer is empty so I gotta run downstairs to the fridge.

I'll leave this here:
