We've all heard the news that President Donald Trump intends to plunk down some cash for that beautiful chunk of earth known as Greenland.
You can just picture us proud Americans as we survey our newly acquired northern territory!

Alas, instead of being grateful and excited for their upcoming American citizenship, the citizens of Greenland are, well, not processing it all that well.
The BBC gives us some quotes from Greenlanders:
'It's not fun being 56,000 people and having these threats - if you can call them that - from a giant like the US,' says Masaana Egede, editor of Greenlandic newspaper Sermitsiaq.
'The citizens of Greenland are nervous about this, because this is not something that we take lightly.'
Just amazing that you can extend the people of this frozen chunk of land a lottery ticket like this and they're not overjoyed about it!
Yes, many of them are unhappy about the prospect. On one Reddit forum, Greenland citizens are, ah, venting their frustrations rather creatively:
'Please do not be afraid to rebel when our time comes. It will come, and we won't be expecting it.'
'I have extensive firearm training.'
...
'I hope all the MAGA idiots get eaten up from the inside by their ills like they swallowed a polar bear with rabies.'
'The US has shown it is a Hostile State. It is time to purge them from sovereign countries for the threat they impose.'
Yo, Greenland,

Per the CBC, one former member of Greenland's parliament summed up the mood best:
This is outrageous and it's insane and it is scary for some, but I think mostly we just get angry.
Be as angry as you'd like, but you're gonna look really good in red, white, and blue.
