Well, this dude wearing a suit of armor and arguing for the abolition of abortion expertly explains his position in under a minute.
It's really something to watch:
The pro-abort asked T. Russel Hunter, the hardline abortion abolitionist, if he was in favor of the death penalty. This is a question that many on the Left feel is a "gotcha" for pro-lifers.
Hunter responded in a very clear and rhetorically smart way.
Hunter: Only for people who are truly murderers, rapists, or man-stealers. I believe in justice. Just treatment. Equality for people.
Woman: So if someone's raped though?
Hunter: Punish the rapist to death. I'm for it. And if we did that people would still rape, but they would rape less!
Man: Then you have babies that are products of rape, then what kind of upbringing is that? How traumatizing is that for the mom?
Hunter: Okay, three things. Three things are: You shouldn't punish children for the crimes of their fathers, you shouldn't predict people are gonna have bad lives and therefore kill 'em, and you shouldn't kill people because they're traumatizing to other people.
And that's why, by pro-abort logic, three-year-olds could all be killed, because almost any parent will tell you, they are super traumatizing at times.
But we all know that's not grounds to kill anyone.
And THAT is how you answer these weak pro-abortion arguments simply.
T. Russell Hunter has lots of these types of interactions on his page (without the costume) and they are worth watching too.
