Holy moly... imagine living in this apartment building when this happened.
Amazingly, is seems no one died when the six-story building fell apart.
From ABC:
"It felt like there was an earthquake, or somebody had rammed a bulldozer into the building," Linnea Hoover, a building resident and journalist at ABC Davenport affiliate WQAD, told ABC News.
"I can't describe the shaking. It felt like the ground was going to fall out from under me," Hoover said.
A dozen residents were able to make it out of the building and authorities rescued 8 more. Seven of these were rescued Sunday, with the last person being rescued overnight. That individual is still in unknown condition at the hospital.
Officials say they believe everyone is accounted for after the bizarre collapse. Authorities have no idea what caused the building to fall apart like a Jenga tower, but it might a while before they have any answers as the building is too unsafe for first responders or investigators to examine closer.
