Elon Musk takes away New York Times' blue check mark, calls their feed "diarrhea" ๐Ÿ˜‚

Elon Musk has done many things to benefit humanity and help our nation and Democracy in his time, but there is nothing he has done that could make me as giddy as this:

Elon took away the New York Times' legacy verification badge, and the Times won't shell out the $7 a month to purchase the check like everyone else, because they're so flipping entitled.

Musk took a jab at The Times and their faux-sanctimonious act:

The website that is completely pay-walled wants to make a big stink over Elon asking for $8 to ensure Twitter verification.

The legacy checks are being taken away and the new Twitter terms would allow a gold verification check for organizations willing to shell out $1,000 a month, while the blue check is available to anyone subscribing to Twitter blue for the normal $8 monthly subscription.

The irony and the pettiness here is so sweet.

Bloomberg asked Twitter for a comment on removing the NYT's blue check and only got back the auto-response, a single poop emoji.

So, though the New York Times could easily afford the check, they're taking a "moral stand" because Space Man bad or something like that.

And that's no skin off of Elon's back.

"...their feed is the Twitter equivalent of diarrhea."

What a savage! ๐Ÿคฃ
