BIG: Emails show Fauci knew in February 2020 that gain-of-function research had been taking place in Wuhan prior to the pandemic ๐Ÿšจ

For the last several years, Anthony Fauci has worked very, very hard to try and convince the American public that the SARS-CoV-2 virus did not originate in a laboratory.

You can understand why: Because the first known outbreak of COVID-19 arose in Wuhan, China, just a few miles from a coronavirus laboratory โ€” the Wuhan Institute of Virology โ€” that was being bankrolled by Anthony Fauci's federal disease department.

As it turns out, however, Fauci was aware that there were indeed experiments going on in Wuhan that could have very directly led to the creation and release of the COVID-19 virus:

"[S]cientists in Wuhan University are known to have been working on gain-of-function experiments to determine the molecular mechanisms associated with bat viruses adapting to human infection, and the outbreak originated in Wuhan."

Oh, Wuhan University scientists were "known" to have been working on gain-of-function experiments with coronaviruses? Really? Who knew that? Did we? I didn't think we did. Apparently Fauci did, but he didn't say anything!

You will remember that Fauci testified before Congress regarding gain-of-function research in Wuhan:

Rand Paul had thoughts after these recent emails came to light:

And just in case it weren't clear, folks, Wuhan University is less than a mile from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. You could walk there and back in the time it takes to eat an ice cream cone.

Rep. Brad Wenstrup, the chairman of the Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, has demanded that the Department of Health and Human Services surrender "any document, summary, memo, one pager, or other work product" related to the 2020 conference call in which this matter was discussed.

Stay tuned, folks.
