It remains to be seen when the left will finally realize that the Frankenstein they created is on a rampage that will not end at their doorstep. It's coming through their front door and won't leave until it's destroyed them too. Their foolish woke purity experiment has escaped containment quicker than Wuhan 2019, and the wake of destruction it leaves grows larger and more notorious by the day.
It's exactly why former President Barack Obama tried desperately to nip it in the bud.
It might seem curious why the Mayor of Panderville himself would ever stick his neck out and risk his own sterling reputation amongst the throngs of woke left-wing warriors who swooned every time he would slow jam the news with Jimmy Fallon. But there's an obvious answer. He knew he could never survive the standard of woke purity they were establishing and eventually he'd be cancelled along with everyone else.
If the author of Harry Potter, universally celebrated and beloved gay ally J.K. Rowling, couldn't survive it, who could?
Unfortunately, Obama's wise counsel fell on deaf ears. Or maybe it was just too late, and the monster had grown too large. Whatever the case, this last week saw a litany of jaw-dropping additions to the "you can never be woke enough" progressive hall of fame. Let's mourn them together:
Alleged singer Billie Eilish. She did all she could to stave off the inevitable. She was a proud LGBT ally, said she had a "responsibility" to talk politics as she obediently trashed Donald Trump as "destroying our country and everything we care about." But despite her best efforts, Eilish is now taking heat for an allegedly racist video where she uses an Asian slur and mocks accents.

Composer and producer Lin-Manuel Miranda. After staving off a cancel crusade against his hit Broadway musical "Hamilton" last year, Miranda just can't seem to get it right. This time it's his recently released feature musical "In the Heights." Apparently the show's lack of "Afro-Latinx representation" roiled the wokesters who have already forced Miranda into apologizing.
"In trying to paint a mosaic of this community, we fell short," Miranda said, responding to the outrage. "I'm truly sorry."

If you thought everyone could appreciate a little airborne interior design, it's only because you're not trying hard enough to find a grievance. Luckily there are plenty of others on the job:
Soccer star Megan Rapinoe. She's an LGBT icon. She's a feminist. She's a BLM activist. She kneels for the national anthem like it's her job. She's filling a role as a Victoria Secret model in place of the company's famous "angels." But no one escapes the woke monster. No one, Megan.
Is there a small bit of satisfaction seeing those who trafficked so freely in the market of woke cancellation get torched by the nonsense themselves? Of course. But I'd give them a get-out-of-cancelled-jail-free card if it meant we could all be free of this absurd cultural moment. Any takers?
