First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they dox you. Then you win.

There's little to be said about Taylor Lorenz that hasn't already been said—that she is a fraud, that she is a professional hack of the first order, and that she is less a journalist and more a deeply insecure and politically compromised apparatchik who is using journalism as a front to playact her own strange and weird insecurities.

But it is worth pointing out that she is, in a weird way, a useful sort of bogey: She lets us know what we are doing right.

Libs of TikTok is doing it right. What may have been one mere joke Twitter account among many has unexpectedly become one of the strongest and most effective vehicles of popular journalism of the last few decades. Few outlets have so thoroughly and comprehensively exposed as much information as vital to the public interest as that account has done, and all in just a few short months.

As Ms. Lorenz was quick to breathlessly point out, Libs of TikTok gets results: Her exposé of the bizarre pedophilic fetishes of countless elementary school teachers had a somewhat pivotal effect in bringing about Florida's new parental-rights and educational-transparency bill.

As they said in Newsies: That's the power of the press, Joe.

It is a rather sad testament to the state of journalism that it took a random Brooklyn real estate investor tweeting in her spare time to expose one of the great American scandals of the young century. They used to pay journalists to do that kind of work. Now they pay people like Taylor Lorenz to go after those who do.

But that's the point. Libs of TikTok is an unmitigated success precisely because it has filled a void left behind by the collapse of journalism itself. In any other context it would be hailed as a legendary accomplishment of citizen-journalism. The only reason it's being treated as an enemy is because it is so effectively and relentlessly exposing the modern political Left's depravities to the point that legislators are beginning to respond.

Taylor Lorenz's doxxing, then, can be quite properly seen as a badge of honor. Taylor Lorenz doesn't want people to know that our public schools are run by quasi-predators who salivate at the thought of teaching children about penectomies and vaginoplasties and trans femme demigirls. The leaders of the progressive movement do not want you to know this, either. They all want you remain ignorant and in the dark and unaware of what they have wrought and what they continue to work.

But you do know, and you'll continue to know—all thanks to one brave woman running one single Twitter account. This kind of work is not for the faint of heart. But it is most assuredly necessary.

Thank goodness we still have people willing to do it—and yes, thank goodness we have people like Taylor Lorenz, who draw the battle lines for us so clearly, and point us so precisely to the path to victory.
