"This is a biohazard": Delta flight forced to turn around after passenger has "diarrhea all the way through the airplane"
· Sep 5, 2023 · NottheBee.com

Usually, on long flights like this, I worry about getting stuck next to someone with diarrhea of the mouth. But my goodness, I'd take 10 hours of small talk over this any day of the week.

Yeah man, those transatlantic flights can be a real crapshoot sometimes, and the people on this plane are lucky to be alive. 😆

Let's jump right into this, because I love the writing over at the New York Post:

A Delta flight from Atlanta to Barcelona was forced to turn around and make an emergency landing after a passenger "had diarrhea all the way through the plane."

The Airbus A350 aircraft was two hours into a transatlantic flight from Georgia to Spain on Friday when the pilot asked to come back because of the fecal fiasco.

"This is a biohazard issue," the pilot said to air traffic control recorded from LiveATC.com and shared on X.

"We've had a passenger who's had diarrhea all the way through the airplane, so they want us to come back to Atlanta."

Okay, let's talk about this: "diarrhea all the way through the airplane"?? Surely, that cannot mean what I think it means. Cuz I'm seeing a slow-moving stream of muck making its way down the aisle as folks scramble to pick up their carry-on bags and raise their feet from the floor. But that can't be. "All the way through the airplane" must mean the smell. It has to mean simply the smell.

So this passenger was in the bathroom for who knows how long, dropping straight bombs, and then the pilot made the call, because, and I quote, "it's just a biohazard issue."

Check this out (you'll be redirected to X to hear the audio, but it's 100% worth it):

It's just a biohazard issue. We've got a passenger who had diarrhea all the way through the airplane, so they want us to come back to Atlanta.

And I'll give you this, too:

🤣🤣🤣

Man, can you imagine being this biohazard of a Delta passenger? I mean, just think of how embarrassing this must've been. I don't know about you, but I'd have stayed my bottom in the lavatory until everyone was off the plane and then taken a secret route back into the airport, which hopefully led to a bathroom.

It looks like the flight eventually did make it to Barcelona, though it was about eight hours late. No word as to whether our poopy passenger was able to make the trip, though.

I'll leave you with this so that next time you fly Delta you'll feel extra clean:

Cleaning crews were able to scrub down the aircraft once it landed in Atlanta since flight records show it was used for another flight.
