Watch: Florida beachgoers shocked as a BLACK BEAR swims in to shore from out in the ocean

There's a reason why Florida is such a popular destination spot. There's lots to do there, but for the most part, Florida is known for its beaches.

Florida has 1,300 miles of coastline and over 189 official beaches. The state is a giant peninsula after all. And with that many beaches, there are bound to be some interesting wildlife encounters, like this guy riding a shark.

However, you don't expect a friggin BEAR to swim into shore from out in the ocean.

"Wait a minute," you say. "Bears don't live in the ocean."

That's what these Floridians thought too, until a sea bear swam up on to the beach, seemingly from somewhere out in the deep-blue depths.

That video is from the Gulf of Mexico in Destin, Florida. Here's what one witness with a good sense of humor said:

"A man was yelling out ‘Bear!' You would expect ‘Shark' or ‘Dolphin' but not ‘Bear!'"

Great line.

Seriously though, I've got nothing to explain how the bear swam in from the ocean.

All I can say is, great. We already had to worry about sharks ripping our limbs off when swimming in the ocean. Now we have bears too.

Just great.
