It's bad enough that Pat Sajak is bowing out of Wheel of Fortune in the near future:
But not seeing Vanna White turning letters up there is, well, it's almost unthinkable:
Puck News reported Friday that White, 66, apparently got COVID-19 in late July while "Wheel" was filming its annual "Teachers Week," which is scheduled to air in October.
That's when producers apparently called up "Teacher of the Year" recipient Bridgette Donald-Blue to replace White at the letter board for the week's worth of episodes.
Having someone else up there running the board, I mean, what would that even look like? It's Vanna's territory! Does anyone else even know how to do it?
Thankfully it's only a week. Then again, Vanna is currently making an aggressive push for a much higher salary from the show, so if that goes poorly perhaps they'll just leave that poor teacher up there indefinitely.
Vanna at one point candidly joked that she has worked "a lot harder" than Pat Sajak over the years, pointing out that she's walked "thousands of miles" over the course of her decades on the show.
She's made bank for it too - $3 million per year is her current salary. Gotta wonder how much more she's pushing for. C'mon, Vanna, $250,000 a month is a pretty healthy salary, and, lets be honest, the job ain't that hard...
