For up to $10,000, this woman will help you name your baby

Taylor A. Humphrey is a professional baby namer. Yes, that's a thing.

Last year, she helped name over one hundred children. Her base price is $1,500, and if you do the math that means she had a base income of $150K last year.

What do you get for $1,500?

For that price Humphrey will generate a list of potential baby names. Now, I know what you're all thinking; "I can get that for free with a quick internet search," and you're right. However, Humphrey swears it's not that simple.

First, parents have to fill out a quiz to discover what baby names will go along with their personality. Then, Humphrey will give them the afore mentioned list.

Of course, there are add-ons if you have way too much money on your hands. For $10,000, Humphrey will pick a name for your child that coincides with the branding of your business.

I wonder what a kid named after a taco joint would turn out like?

To be fair, I don't think Taylor A. Humphrey is a monster for taking people's money to name their kids. Quite the contrary, she's a genius. According to her Instagram, she seems to have stumbled into the business quite by accident. People just really wanted to be able to pay someone to name their kids.

At least according to her Instagram, that seems to be the case:

When I started this account 7 years ago, I was looking for a way to share my love of baby names.

I NEVER imagined my niche name nerdom would blossom into a thriving business…

But here we are! Over the past few years I've worked with hundreds of parents to "discover" their babies' names!

Humphrey cites Elon Musk as a dream client, but not because she disagrees with him naming his kids X Æ A-12 and Exa Dark Sideræl.

Humphrey says the monikers "are actually amazing" choices, representing "the pinnacle of thoughtfulness and creativity."

And if that's the case, I can only imagine what kinds of crazy baby name choices show up on her lists.
