Forget Christmas Creep: Pittsburgh is having a St. Patrick's Day parade this month. As in, September.

You're doubtlessly familiar with "Christmas Creep," the phenomenon in which Christmas festivities get earlier and earlier every year and it's one of the worst things in the entire world.

Well, the great city of Pittsburgh decided to do us one better and literally hold a St. Patrick's Day parade literally in September:

September means it's time for flannels and apple picking. And, if you live in Pittsburgh, St. Patrick's Day...

Pittsburgh's St. Patrick's Day Parade was canceled in 2020 and postponed in March. Now that it's back — and in September — the parade will serve as the city's "halfway to St. Patrick's Day celebration."

"We are looking forward to putting on an entertaining parade to celebrate before we begin planning for our traditional March festivities, which will be held on March 12, 2022," Parade Chairman, J. Mac McCafferty said in the release.

Sigh. Not to be too harsh on everyone, but it honestly feels like this parade...

Okay, you've got to at least concede: It was a rough 2020 and honestly 2021 isn't going so hot either. It's nice to throw a little extra cheer in where you can. And it looks like this particular parade is just a one-time thing.

Still. They could've done their part in the fight against Season Creep and just taken the L on this one. Missing two St. Patrick's Day parades in a row is bad enough. Holding a makeup parade in September? That's just kind of a downer.
