So this is ... interesting.

That's former CIA Director (and former Army general in Iraq) David Patraeus. The man he is interviewing is Al-Qaeda leader Ahmed al-Sharaa, who has been the acting president of Syria since rebels ousted Bashar al-Assad last year.

Al-Sharaa had an active bounty on his head until DECEMBER 2024 (you know, for being a terrorist). At the time, he went by the pseudonym "Abu Mohammad al-Julani":

A member of Al-Qaeda when the U.S. invaded Iraq, al-Sharaa was imprisoned by American forces, but was released sometime after our exit and returned to Syria. From there, he went on to help form and lead the al-Nusrah Front, which was later rebranded as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), a terror group.

Now he's just cozying up to heads of state in New York City!

Trump also met al-Sharaa in Saudi Arabia back in the spring.

Oh, before I go, watch this second clip from Petreaus:

"And your many fans, and I am one of them..."

UNREAL.
