The governor himself had a stream of messages pressuring Californians to obey his commands.
Newsom became such a trope that The Babylon Bee has gotten five full years' worth of mileage out of it:
And yet THAT governor just signed a mask ban.
The five bills Newsom signed into law Saturday 'make California the first state in the nation to prohibit federal law enforcement officers, including ICE, from hiding their identities,' according to a press release from his office.
The anti-ICE moves also make 'it less likely that federal immigration enforcement officers target children in classrooms and patients in hospitals,' the statement continued.
Unfortunately for Gov. Newsom, the feds aren't complying with his state regulations.
ICE officers have faced death threats from the mostly peaceful Left. Their homes and families have been targeted.
