Okay, this is a bit unprofessional from former Carolina Panther Steve Smith, but I can't help but watch it over and over, giggling a little more each time it plays.
Apparently, Smith has been bearish on Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy for quite some time now, talking him down on his radio show as sports commentators are known to do these days. You likely have no idea who Jeudy is, which speaks volumes to Smith's point here, but wow, I can't believe he went off like this on live television.
Watch:
I'm sorry for saying that you're a average wide receiver that they eventually will move on and when teams call me and asking should they trade for you I will say "no don't trade for Jerry Jeudy" because he's mentally unable to handle constructive criticism from people who watch specifically, can he be a wide receiver โ he can be a wide receiver, he's a tier three.
Wow.
I can't believe he just said all that. That was not only bold, it was embarrassing. If you got beef with somebody, I'm sorry, but leave it to your podcast; don't bring it to the NFL Network.
Though, these days, I think the NFL eats this beef stuff up, which is not a great sign of things to come.
Do better, sports. Let's focus on the game, not TMZ stuff.
(For the record, Jeudy recorded three catches for 14 yards on Thursday night.)
