Edmond Dantès, is that you?

The perfect escape plan.

(Even better than escaping in a bodybag when the guards come to throw your dead cellmate into the ocean.)

The 20-year-old prisoner escaped from Lyon-Corbas prison, near Lyon, southeast France, on Friday, broadcaster BFMTV reported. His cellmate had completed his sentence and the escaped prisoner managed to hide in his laundry bag as he left prison, the outlet reported.

Perfect, unless of course you stick around town and forget that you'll be pursued by the law.

The prisoner was arrested while emerging from a cellar early on Monday in Corbas near Lyon, prosecutors said, adding that his fellow prisoner accomplice had not yet been arrested.

You made it all that way -- you were serving "several sentences" including one linked to organized crime -- and you're still in town three days later?

I mean, I'm glad you're back in prison, but you were so close!

And now they'll go after your cellmate, who's probably smart enough to have ditched town by now.
