Gavin Newsom calls Ron DeSantis a "bully" but PoliMath breaks down who the REAL bully is in this amazing thread

Gavin Newsom, governor of the worst run state in the union, is already starting on his unofficial 2024 campaign.

As soon as Biden started to fall out of favor with Dems, Newsom grabbed headlines, visited DC in Biden's absence, and attacked who most people believe will be the GOP nominee in 2024, Ron DeSantis.

In ironic fashion, Newsom declared Ron DeSantis as a "bully" for giving people more freedom.

Stop being a bully! Stop belittling people that look differently, act differently, love differently. Who the hell are you? Stop! Stop threatening people! Stop being so coercive!

Newsom doesn't exactly say how or why he thinks DeSantis is doing all those things. All he knows is "Florida man bad!" so he can just throw this red meat out to the base.

Newsom and DeSantis represent the divide in America pretty well, however. They are the figureheads for their respective parties at this time, in my opinion.

PoliMath over on Twitter excellently breaks down this rhetoric Newsom is throwing around, brilliantly describing how it encapsulates the politics of the future.

It's all about framing. Who are the bullies, and who needs protection from the government?

For the Democrats, it isn't Catholic nuns who don't want to pay for birth control. It's not individual pharmacists who refuse to fill abortion pill subscriptions. It's not football coaches privately praying on the 50 yard line.

The Democrats are about protecting Disney, teachers' unions, and big businesses that further their agenda.

And if you're Ron DeSantis who fights against these institutions, then YOU are the bully.

There is no doubt that Newsom represents the future of the Democratic Party.
