California, you guys keep choosing this guy. Why? Has everyone better fled the state?

If you missed it, there's a big summit this week that California is preparing for, and if Joe Biden and Xi Jinping are going to be there, you can bet definite-presidential-hopeful Gavin Newsom will be there too.

Newsom is a master at his craft. There's a reason Cali votes for him. He's slick: He embraces the criticisms of himself and his allies and spins them to make the critics seem like the mean, joyless ones.

But he overplayed it with the "clean up the house" bit.

This isn't "your" house, Gavin. People's lives are in danger because of the crime, vagrancy, and filth you and your buddies have allowed to run rampant in the name of "tolerance." You imposed a drug-zombie apocalypse on families who wanted the government to do the one thing governments are created to do: Protect them.

But now that Xi Jinping is showing up a few weeks after you visited his house, all of a sudden "your" house has to be cleaned?

"Almost feels like like the city's residents don't matter."
