Not content with banning the unvaxxed from public, Germany has graduated to the forceful arrest of Santa Claus ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Once again, I feel it's important to remind Germany that those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

Yikes!

Not a good look. Those who arrest peaceful Santas are not usually the good guys. Also, Maskless Santa has a better chance of squeezing down a narrow chimney than he does spreading Covid to anyone outdoors.

Germany, you REALLY might want to spend five minutes being a bit introspective. That might have helped your grandparents and great-grandparents avoid, well, you know.

To be fair though: Santa wasn't arrested for lack of a mask. He was arrested for failing to show the German compliance police his papers (sounds eerily familiar) and for illegally assembling.

From Newsweek:

The incident occurred at around 6 p.m. at the Old Market Square in Strausland.

Speaking to Newsweek, Strausland Police explained that despite posts on social media, the incident was not about the man's lack of a face mask.

A police spokesperson said: "About 65 people gathered without registration with posters and candles on the Old Market Square in Stralsund. They apparently expressed their opinions against the current corona measures and mandatory vaccination.

"For this reason, the police officers of the police district Stralsund and Grimmen determined the personal details of those present. The background is that an unregistered meeting is a criminal offense under the Assembly Act.

"Among those present, there was also a person in a Santa Claus costume. The police were also surprised that Santa Claus did not comply with the law and also expressed his opinion with a poster.

AN UNAUTHORIZED POSTER???

The 47-year-old Stralsund was obviously an actor of the assembly. He was not employed as Santa Claus at the Local Christmas Market."

The Stralsund police department added that the man in the Santa costume refused to give his information [read: "Papers, please!"] and was subsequently escorted to a patrol car.

Americans, makes you glad for that 1st Amendment right to assemble, eh?

Germany is scared that the super-deadly Omicron variant (which hasn't killed a single known person yet worldwide) might be spread outside by people who don't want tyranny for Christmas.

Meanwhile, here in the States:

Because Big Tech wants to destroy anyone who points out that mandate bozos are the bad guys, we have to issue this disclaimer that this is probably not the REAL Santa.

I know, you're devastated!

Anyway, the upcoming Hallmark movies about idyllic Christmas markets in sleepy European towns are going to be interesting with this crossover into the dystopia genre!
