When the Ministry of Public Education tries to indoctrinate your kids using textbooks riddled with Marxism and gender ideology, this is how you respond.
Take notes, Americans.
Parents in Mexico from Christian organizations have taken to the streets in the thousands to oppose new textbooks from the Ministry of Public Education they deem to contain sexual and gender ideology content, according to Mexico News Daily. At least 12,000 people attended...
The textbooks from the Mexican education department has mobilized parents into activism. Over 112,000 signatures were collected in a petition demanding the textbook's distribution be stopped "because of sexualized and gender ideology content inserted without parental consultation."
Most of the 12,000 people who attended the protest were Evangelical Christians, and I applaud them for their efforts.
And this will sound familiar: Mexican President López Obrador said the parents are "misinformed" and that the outrage was due to "politicking." He also mentioned that the textbooks were put together by "experts" (which must mean they cannot possibly be made to indoctrinate kids in gender ideology, Marxism, or, really, anything bad).
For some reason I don't believe him...
I'm sure some radical blue-haired lefty will say this is no different than the book-burning the Nazis did, but these are not time-tested literary classics or books deemed "un-Mexican." This is new state propaganda curriculum and it's the people, not government-sponsored student activist organizations, doing the burning.
So, good for these parents, coming out and supporting their kids like this.
We need to see more of this up here in the States.
Keep it up, based Mexican parents. You're an inspiration to us all!
