Texas Governor Greg Abbott promised this week that he would increase his policy of bussing illegal aliens from Texas to liberal cities if Title 42's expiration leads to increased border crossings.
The governor said in a press conference Monday that this will involve shuttling thousands of more illegals to cities like New York and Chicago.
Abbott added on Monday that "Thousands have been bussed already" to cities like New York, Chicago, and Washington DC.
"Many thousands more will be bussed in the coming days because of the massive influx of illegal migrants," Abbott said.
Abbot is also sending the Texas National Guard down to the border to help with the influx caused by current federal border policies.
A team of Texas National Guard members known as the Tactical Border Force was also deployed to the border. Abbott said, "They will be deployed to hot spots along the border to intercept, to repeal, and to turn back migrants that are trying to enter the US illegally."
The Tactical Border Force will use C-130 Hercules aircraft and Black Hawk Helicopters in their efforts.
Starting Thursday, experts predict illegal immigration to surge up to 12,000 people a day.
