Another Groundhog Day prediction has come and gone, and just like the last infinity years or so, we have another contentious election, the Lions failed to make it to the Super Bowl, and the world seems to be going to hell in a hand basket.

Fortunately, Punxsutawney Phil says spring is coming soon!

That's right, the lil' guy didn't see his shadow in Gobbler's Knob in western Pennsylvania early Friday morning, with 20,000 or so people gathered for the event.

Had he seen it, that would have spelled six more weeks of winter, according to the world-famous, 132-year-old tradition.

Still, don't get out the bathing suits just yet — Phil has only been accurate about 40% of the time over the past 100 years.

In fact, over the past decade, the wannabe meteorologist has only been right three times — in 2014, 2016 and 2020, according to the National Centers for Environmental Information.
