What a horrific tragedy.

Rep. Ben Baker of Missouri posted on Facebook Thursday night that his daughter and son-in-law were brutally murdered while on the mission field in Haiti.

Missions in Haiti, the sending group founded two decades ago by Davy's family, posted more details about the attack on their Facebook page and asked for prayer during the attack.

According to the post, three trucks full of men rolled up to the ministry compound after youth group and started looting it, stealing the ministry's vehicles in the process. Davy and his wife were kidnapped - Davy was tied up and severely beaten. Another gang apparently showed up in the midst of this to "help" and shooting began. Davy and Natalie managed to call back home, but they were trapped in the compound and ultimately killed.

Murderous gang violence has been plaguing Haiti for years, with even more escalation in 2024. Less than a year ago, Haitian gangsters murdered 7 Christians at a church who stood against their violence.

Missouri politicians and others have been sending their condolences to the Lloyds and Bakers after the senseless killings.

Former President Trump also weighed in on the tragedy.

Haiti is such a dark and evil place that desperately needs the good news of Jesus Christ.

Davy and Natalie gave everything to make that happen.
