Harris aide admits campaign never had internal polling that showed a lead over Trump ... so why were all the professional polls different?

For some reason I really love this headline from HuffPo:

What they really should've written here is,

Yup, Plouffe was on "Pod Save America" this week and admitted that they were never ahead of Trump in their internal polling.

Here's HuffPo:

Senior advisers to Vice President Kamala Harris' failed presidential campaign suggested this week that there just wasn't much else Harris could have done to beat Donald Trump.

‘We were hopeful. I don't know how optimistic we were, but we thought, OK, this is tied, and if a couple things break our way [we could win],' David Plouffe, a senior adviser to the campaign, said Tuesday on the ‘Pod Save America' podcast …

Plouffe said the campaign's internal polling never had Harris ahead of Trump.

‘We didn't get the breaks we needed on Election Day,' he said. ‘I think it surprised people, because there was these public polls that came out in late September, early October, showing us with leads that we never saw.'

Here's more from Plouffe:

Another friendly reminder that most of these polls are simply untrustworthy.

If you just happened to listen to even one of JD Vance's many interviews leading up to the election, you'd have known about these terrible numbers coming in for Harris.

But, nonetheless, us righties will be considered "conspiracy theorists" next time around, even though we'll simply be normal people who've learned from history not to trust these polls.

However, I will trust these guys next time around.
