Thirteen-year-old Dillon Reeves of Michigan is being hailed as a hero after jumping into action when his school bus driver experienced a medical emergency.

Watch the video from the bus here:

In the video, you can hear the bus driver telling her supervisor that she is feeling dizzy and needs to pull over. She begins to slow the bus down, but before it is stopped she appears to faint.

You can hear students begin to panic before Dillon quickly took control of the situation. He grabbed the steering wheel, stopped the bus slowly, and instructed others to call 911.

It reminds me of this similar situation where another 13 year old saved his fellow students 11 years ago!

Warren Consolidated Schools Superintendent Robert Livernois said this in a news conference:

In my 35-plus years of education, this was an extraordinary act of courage and maturity on his part... I don't know that it could have gone any better, and when you have an anchor like Dylan taking care of business on the bus, it really and truly was a good day for us.

Dillon's parents, Steve and Ireta Reeves, said their son is very observant, and knew what to do from watching the bus driver, as well as driving golf carts in the past.

His parents said they would be taking their son out for some well-deserved ice cream and a camping trip soon to reward him for a job well done!
