Last Thursday, stand out quarterback Alex Brown from Red Bank Catholic (NJ) lost his mother to breast cancer. Her battle had lasted 14 years.

The next night, Brown hit the football field, mother in the forefront of his mind, and just absolutely balled it up:

Brown, a senior committed to Bucknell, threw six touchdowns and ran for two more as his inspiring performance helped power second-seeded Red Bank Catholic, No. 11 in the NJ.com Top 20, to a 58-34 victory over seventh-seeded Morris Catholic in the first round of the NJSIAA/Rothman Orthopaedics Non-Public B playoffs at Count Basie Field in Red Bank.

I'm not crying, you're crying...

Brown also got a shoutout from Tom Brady, which is pretty sweet:

Stay strong Alex, and best of luck in the playoffs and next year at Bucknell!
