Watch this 139-year-old Victorian house travel six blocks through the streets of San Francisco to be relocated

Imagine you live in San Francisco, and you're just going about your day, recycling, stepping over human feces, whatever, when BLAM a 139-year-old home just comes rolling around the corner.

Check this out:

In total, the house migrated six blocks. The trip took six hours and cost about $400k (half of that went toward fees and permits).

Moving historic homes actually used to be much more common in San Francisco in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. This was the first one to be moved in 47 years within the city proper.

Wild.
