Hey Walmart, take notes.
From Home Depot CFO Richard McPhail:
For Home Depot, more than 50% of our purchases are sourced in the United States. The vast number of suppliers have diversified sourcing. We anticipate twelve months from now, no single country outside of the United States will represent more than 10% of our purchases. Because of our scale, the great partnerships we have with our suppliers and productivity that we continue to drive in our business, we intend to generally maintain our current pricing levels across our portfolio.
Of course, one could argue about what "low" prices mean when we're talking about Home Depot.
And as for 50% of products being made in the U.S., I'd like to see the percentage once you exclude materials like stone and lumber.
Still, as far as PR campaigns go, this one is working. They just embarrassed Walmart and tapped into American pride.

Their marketing team knows what time it is!
Instead of procrastinating on that deck I'm supposed to build on the back of the house, I'm going to head to the Home Depot right now.
Not so my wife will stop nagging me about it, but because I want to build the most American deck in the neighborhood.
