Last Friday, a 34-year-old man named Daniel Ortega walked into a Las Vegas gym and unloaded 24 rounds at random people.
Here he is walking into the Las Vegas Athletic Club:
Even though he had a rifle, Ortega's aim was so bad that he only managed to kill one person - a 31-year-old gym employee - and wound 3 others.
Because he was a cowardly doofus with no training, this would-be mass shooter's gun jammed and he had no idea how to clear it.
He then fled the scene, having failed his mission of killing a bunch of people.
He almost made it to the parking lot. Almost. 👇

That officer was camped right around the corner with a few of his buddies, and he wasted no time getting his rifle up and deleting the bad guy with precision.
Here is the officer's bodycam footage (the clip is cut before the bullets actually hit the man so you don't have to see that). The slow-mo shows how well-trained this officer is.

Ortega died from getting blasted in the back. Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
